It has been brought to the attention of the group that according to our constitution that we should only have 7 directors.  After discussion on how to remedy this Tom Colyer made a motion that since there are two directors that are going off this year that we don’t re-elect anyone to replace them.  This was seconded by Jeff Traver.  Motion passed.

The question arose about transfers on sheep that the paper work is being sent back to the seller and not being forwarded on to the new owners.  The secretary will check with the registrar’s office about this and ask them to please forward all transfers on to the new owners.

Jeff Traver thanked everyone for coming this year and for the great participation in the “In and Out Class”.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the class as well as the public.  Jeff passed out results from a 1950 Futurity Class.  This is also a class that has disappeared from the show ring as well as the criteria.  He thanked Don Hunter for shearing all the sheep that were in the ‘In & Out Class” this year.  We would like to continue this class next year at our National Show in 2008. With not having good guide lines for the class, Jeff made a motion to form a committee to set the criteria for the class and also recommended that the sheep showed in this class should be shown in full fleece and that only the wool could be curried and the animal could be crouched.  Seconded by Pat Bauer.  Motion carried.  Tom Colyer nominated Ken Scott and Bob Calvert for the committee.  Deb Caryl seconded the motion.  Motion passed.

Once the criterion is set by the committee, they shall inform KILE of the guidelines in hopes that they will print it in the show books.

Tom Colyer made a motion to pay Don Hunter $25 for shearing the sheep this year.  Dan Fitzpatrick seconded the motion.  Motion passed.

The National Merino Show will be held in 2008.  Deb Caryl made a motion for the National Show to be held at KILE in 2008.  Seconded by Tom Colyer.  Motion passed.

Deb Caryl made a motion that the association should only have trophies at our National Shows since most shows provide trophies and we are duplicating them.  This will result in a cost savings to the Association. Tom Colyer seconded it.  Motion carried.
